Went to the Marin Horizon School(MHS)/Homestead Valley Community Association Joint Committee (HVCA) meeting last night

Learned that a large chunk of HVCA's annual income is paid by MHS for rental of HVCA space and playground and Keith Garriot suggested a new stop sign be installed on Melrose Ave.

Although  HVCA president Al Wunthnow has been continuously informed it was not surprising that the MHS/HVCA Joint Committee Meeting Agenda did not address.

 1. MHS 2005 USE PERMIT violations:

a) Failure to provide 50 temporary parking spaces on its playground's blacktop;
b) Failure to provide on-site staff parking for Toyota Prius ( CA DRMWRTK) parked on Evergreen Ave, and Toyota Camray (CA RozMHS) illegally parked in MHS' PGE transformer access driveway off of Montford;
c) Failure to provide monitors at Melrose and Montford;
d) Failure to provide a crossing guard om Melrose at Volunteer Park.

2. MHS'  proposed Evergreen Ave. sidewalk proposal and reduction in its driving lane widths.

Recently Mill Valley Patch revealed that MHS pays Mill Valley School District a substantial sum to rent its facilities and grounds.

 ITS NOT SURPRISING THAT HVCA, MILL VALLEY SCHOOL DISTRICT AND SUPERVISOR KINSEY SUPORT WHAT EVER MHS WANTS.  IT SEEMS THEY HAVE BEEN BOUGHT.

 Regardless of  the massive negative impact on Homestead Valley what ever MHS desires will implemented by the County regardless of its impact on the well being of Homestead Valley residents.
