Greetings Charles,
I sent your email to our Engineering staff on the same day I received it.  They're still logging and cataloging input from the community on this project and haven't formulated any responses yet.
Best of the season to you,
Bob

Bob,
Approximately 400 residents of Homestead Valleey use Evergreen Ave. daily to come and go from their homes.
The Marin Horizon School Environmental Impact Study states traffic counts on Evergreen Ave. were 910  vehicles per day in 2003 (MHS consultant school day counts not ADTs). We are unaware of any DPW Evergreen Ave. Average Daily Trips (ADTs) traffic counts.
As DPW's Evergreen Ave. street improvement and travel lane narrowing potentially negatively impacts 2,000 individul uses of Evergreen Ave. (assuming 400 residents at 5 trips per day), we expect that as a professional engineers DPW will require that an ADT traffic count in accord with Caltrans procedures and standards be provided as an engineering design basis for use in preparing its street improvement and travel lane narrowing design
As DPW's design proposal impacts the use of Evergreen Ave. of approximately 400 Homestead Valley drivers, can you have your staff provide Evergreen Ave. existing and current proposed R.O.W and Facility Dimensions for Fig. 1 and 2 ?
We will then provide Fig. 1 and 2 for their information.
In this way Homestead Valley drivers will have a better idea of how the proposed DPW sidewalk project and lane narrowing vaguely discussed will impact/change future driving conditions on Evergreen Ave.
I've attached an MS Word copy of the below tables for your staffs use.
Best regards,
Charles
